Most Americans think of child marriage as something that only happens to kids in other countries, but nobody could ever imagine it going on here.
What many people don’t realize is that children as young as 12 actually can marry a much older partner in a few states.
To call attention to the sick reality of child marriage, YouTube star Coby Persin set up a social experiment in New York City.
In the shocking video, Persin sets the scene in Times Square for a 65-year-old man and his 12-year-old bride.
Donning a white dress and a veil, the child bride stares vacantly at the ground as she poses for wedding photos with her much older groom.
At first, the people witnessing the pair’s wedding scene simply shoot the man looks of confusion or disgust.
But it doesn’t take long before the passersby begin to speak up for the little girl, even going as far as demanding to know where her parents are.
“Where is your mom?” one woman asks the scared girl.
When the woman tells the man, “She’s young,” the older man replies: “She’s young, yeah, but the parents, they give me permission.”
Once the bystanders realize what they’re actually seeing, tons of concerned adults jump in to help the girl.
“This is bull****, this isn’t right” one person yells, while another tells the wrinkled groom: “‘you’re a f***ing sick pervert.”
Fortunately, this wedding wasn’t real, but child marriages do happen every single day in countries all over the world.
“New Yorker’s didn’t stand for a child getting married to an older man, and neither should anywhere else in the world be ok with it!” Persin captioned the video.
They tried to deny it and say its not true, despite the massive amounts of video evidence…do you see a SINGLE woman dressed as a bride over the age on 8? No, you dont….Disgusting Child Molesting Animals.
450 Grooms Wed GIRLS Under Ten In Gaza
A gala event has occurred in Gaza.
Hamas sponsored a mass wedding for four hundred and fifty couples.
Most of the grooms were in their mid to late twenties; most of brides were under ten.
Muslim dignitaries including Mahmud Zahar, a leader of Hamas, were on hand to congratulate the couples who took part in the carefully staged celebration. Some sites are claiming this is fake, but if the Hamas Government sponsored it, and all the men could only afford black pants and white shirts with no coats, then how did the “flower girls” afford their dresses?? Some body paid for them. Also, the Gaza Journal provided a write up on the event, and the NY Times reposted it, but Aljazeera filmed and edited it. Watch the original film they created, and see what they say.
Canadian immigration officials say there’s little they can do to stop the “child brides” of Muslim men from gaining entry into the country.
Canadian Muslim men, often 60 years or older, often marry young girls — – some prepubescent — – in arranged marriages abroad. They then serve as sponsors for their “child brides” to gain Canadian residency and citizenship.
Canadian authorities say they cannot prevent the practice and can only request an official delay upon the approval of sponsorship until the girls turn 16.
The marriages of men to young girls — – even children who are premenstrual — – are sanctioned by Sharia Law. The Prophet Muhammad wed Aisha, when she was six, and deflowered her at nine. The three year hiatus before the deflowering was precipitated by the fact that Aisha developed a serious skin condition.
The Canadian officials say some of the child brides, often as young as 10, are forced to marry in such Islamic countries as Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and the Palestinian Authority.
In classified documents, Canadian visa officer Steve Bulmer says he refused to allow one Pakistani man to sponsor his 15-year-old bride in August 2009.
“I can find no section (of law) that states the marriage is ‘invalid’ or ‘void,'” Bulmer wrote in e-mails obtained by lawyer Richard Kurland under Access of Information. “I am afraid the age does not invalidate the marriage even if it is illegal to marry.”
We are saying to the world and to America that you cannot deny us joy and happiness, Zahar told the grooms, all of whom were dressed in identical black suits and hailed from the nearby Jabalia refugee camp.
Each groom received a gift of 500 dollars from Hamas.
The pre-pubescent girls, dressed in white gowns and adorned with garish make-up, received bridal bouquets.
We are presenting this wedding as a gift to our people who stood firm in the face of the siege and the war, Local Hamas strongman Ibrahim Salaf said in a speech.
